2 mg/kg q4-6h until severe symptoms have been controlled
Crohn's disease
0.25 mg/kg/day was reported effective in preventing relapses
Systemic lupus erythematosus
Pulse doses: 1 g IVP/IVD daily for 3 days
Multiple sclerosis(MS)
160 mg/day IVP/IVD for 1 wk followed by 64 mg qod for 1 month
Immunosuppression and inflammatory conditions
Adults: IVP/IVD initial 10-40mg, subsequent doses by condition
Acute spinal cord injury
Solu-Medrol 500mg/vial
Administered within 8 hours of the incident
30mg/kg IVP/IVD over 15-30 min, then 5.4mg/kg/h for 23 hrs

Euphoria/depression, GI distress, peptic ulcer, elevations in liver function tests, growth depression, hypertension, sodium and fluid retention, skin atrophy, hypokalemia, increased risk of infection, muscle weakness

Systemic fungal infections, live or live attenuated vaccines (immunosuppresive doses)

2.Cirrhosis, hypothyroidism, peptic ulcer, measles, chickenpox and other infections, myasthenia gravis
3.隨藥附贈的溶解液因含防腐劑(Benzyl alcohol)，不可椎管內或硬脊膜外注射，亦不可用於新生兒 4.遮蔽或加重急性化膿性眼睛發炎、單純性疱疹角膜炎、濾過性病毒角膜炎、黴真菌之眼疾

服藥期間避免食用葡萄柚或葡萄柚汁。因葡萄柚(汁)中含類黃酮，會影響肝臟內的重要酵素（CYP3A4），使藥物作用增加或降低。
